What is PET Strapping?

PET strapping, also known as polyester strapping, is sturdy plastic banding for heavy-load bundling, palletizing, shipping and storage. It serves as a high-performance replacement for steel and PP strapping.

Machine Applications

Widely used in steel, chemical industry, aluminum, paper making, brick kiln, tobacco, electronics, textile and timber industries.

Why PET Strapping is Popular

High Tensile Strength & Durability: Significantly stronger than polypropylene strapping and rivals the strength of light to medium-duty steel strapping.

Elastic Recovery (Memory): PET strapping can stretch under tension (typically 2-3%) and then recoils slightly to maintain tension on a load. This is crucial when pallets settle or shift during transit, as the strap stays tight.

Moisture & UV Resistance: Unlike steel, it will not rust. It's also more resistant to moisture and sunlight than polypropylene, making it suitable for outdoor storage and export.
